launching from a beta on halloween last year with scrappy performance, our site crashed on our first two prospective customers. we've received emails and calls on 'how can you possibly do business', 'haven't you heard anything about the economy' to 'i'll never be ordering shirts anywhere else' and 'you'll be the future of shirt buying'. we honestly like hearing from both parties. both help us improve, and that's really the name of the game for a startup. we're always working, working on building a better performing site, writing more useful content, getting back to customers faster, having a more intuitive design, and getting a better quality product to you faster.
that last point is really what we're super-excited about. there's no doubt that we have so much to improve on but it can honestly be said that we haven't been impressed by ourselves on turning around an absolutely awesome product in a timely manner to our early customers. we set the bar pretty high here, and we've working around the clock to reach it. so what wholesale changes have we made? as of two days ago, we've placed a founding team member accountable on the supply side, working more closely with tailors in shanghai. that person is me.
we've still got our chief hamster, who is the mastermind behind how our site talks to you, based out in cali, our rock star lead evangelist, who promotes us anywhere and everywhere online, rocking out in massachusetts with our lead artist who can be credited for the compliments we get on how our site and custom men's dress shirt design app looks and feels. i've now moved myself from the suburbs of boston to the suburbs of shanghai to get the latest shirt fabrics, the coolest new shirt design features, a better quality product to you faster than ever before. it's slightly bigger deal to me personally because i've dropped out of school to do this.
along with the other guys, we're absolutely committed to what we harp on about here. we're making sacrifices everyday because we really believe the mission we're working toward. when we talk about a co-creation revolution and fashion 2.0 changing how the fundamental interaction between individual consumer and apparel provider, we live it and believe it everyday. we want to have an impact, and we want you to join us along for the ride. would you like to have a MONTHLY SHIRT CLUB? you could sign up and get a shirt a month, with some design preferences, with access to the latest fabrics. there'd be a convenience factor and a nice surprise factor also. do you think your purchasing decision would be easier if we were able to send you five FABRIC SWATCHES? or would you just prefer us include them in your shirt package when you receive it? what about having your own PROFILE PAGE where not only your shirt designs would be saved, but you could direct your friends to something with a unique www.blank-label.com/YOURNAME url.
tell us how we can be better, help us improve, help us in this revolution.
